Clyde Williams

Instructor Clyde P. Williams, III is an alumnus of Seminole HS, and was selected for Florida State All Star team his Jr. and Sr. years. In 1998, Clyde was drafted in the 3rd round (#81 overall) by the Montreal Expos, playing at various levels until 2005. For the next five years he played in the Northern, Atlantic, and Can-Am league where his teams consistently won in league play. He played on the All-Star team and participated in the Home Run Derby each year, winning the HR and MVP title in 2006. A portion of 2007 was spent in the Mexican league playing for the Tijuana Petros before being traded to the Atlantic league. For two winter seasons he played in Nicaragua where his team won their World Series and he was named MVP both years. Clyde has been managed by several well known major leaguers such as Tim Raines, Brian Daubach, and Cecil Fielder.

Clyde has had the privilege of playing the sport of baseball which has been his passion about for over a decade. In the off season, he teaches hitting lessons and has participated in several camps. His plan now is to develop aspiring young talent and provide them with the fundamentals needed to help them develop the love of the game and also to establish a well rounded player should they desire to continue on competitively in the professional arena.
